Cipla (up 1.08 per cent), Dr Reddy's Laboratories (up 0.8 per cent), and HUL (up 0.58 per cent) were among the major Sensex gainers.
Sesa Sterlite (down 3.5 per cent), Tata Motors (down 3.08 per cent), Hindalco (down 2.8 per cent), Tata Steel (down 1.5 per cent) and NTPC (down 1.4 per cent) were the major index losers.
